GFI Brazil has an open position for professionals interested in providing operational and analytical support to the Science and Technology team. Apply by June 8th.

In this role, you will provide technical, operational, and analytical support for projects, produce reports, and perform general tasks for the Science and Technology team. You will collaborate on the development of documents and projects in the area of ​​cultivated meat, as well as in other technological areas related to alternative proteins (plant-based or fermented proteins), according to the team's assigned needs. Additionally, you will participate in projects that promote public and private funding for scientific research on alternative proteins in Brazil. 

The Science and Technology Analyst must have:

  • A minimum of 03 (three) years of professional experience or a master's or doctorate degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Veterinary Medicine or related areas.
  • A bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of cell culture systems in bioreactors is desirable.
  • Experience in bioprocesses involving cell culture scaling is desirable.  
  • Fluent or advanced English (reading, understanding, writing and speaking).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization and efficiency, attention to detail.
  • Be comfortable working remotely and in a rapidly growing and evolving organization.
  • Knowledge of Google Drive and Google Docs or Office Suite (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel). 
  • Good ability/Skill in preparing presentations using Google Slides resources.
  • Interest in and support for GFI's philosophy and mission: public health, the environment, animal protection, and the fight against global hunger. Ability to professionally advocate for GFI's positions.
  • A friendly, positive person who knows how to deal with different personalities, enjoys teamwork, and understands the importance of collaborative work.
