Our Mission
Accelerate the development of innovative proteins
The Good Food Institute is a nonprofit organization that advocates for the transformation of the current food system. Our international network develops alternative proteins to meet climate and food security goals.
What are alternative proteins?
Alternative proteins are new sources of protein that serve as an alternative to animal proteins. Extracted from plants, produced through fermentation or with cultured cells, they offer a way to reduce the environmental impacts of our food system, which currently depends on the intensive and unsustainable production of meat, eggs, milk and dairy products.
